How is the covid-19 crisis affecting the power system in France?

RTE has published an analysis showing an unprecedented reduction in energy consumption over such a short period of time in France: between 15 and 20% in two weeks over the same period.
RTE has observed a slight increase in household consumption. Industry, particularly manufacturing, has seen its consumption fall by almost 27%, and by 57% for the rail sector.
The good news is that the ratio of renewable energy has increased in the energy mix. In fact, RTE has noted that coal and gas-fired power stations have barely been operated, while renewable power stations have continued to operate as normal.
