The basic design of this feasibility study includes the construction of a second high voltage interconnection (330kV) from Ferkessédougou to Bobo Dioulasso (204 km) and from Bobo Dioulasso to Ouagadougou (336 km). Extension and/or construction of substations; electrification of communities and villages along the line and around the substations; installation of compensation and synchronization equipment as well as flow control equipment, if necessary; and reinforcement of the CI-ENERGIES (Côte d’Ivoire) and SONABEL (Burkina Faso) networks, if necessary.
