RTE international is a consulting and engineering company specializing in all aspects of electricity transmission.
As a subsidiary of RTE, the largest electricity transmission system operator in Europe, with nearly €6.1 billion in revenue by the end of 2023, 105,970 km of extra-high voltage lines, and 52 interconnections, RTE international provides tailored solutions to industry stakeholders for the development, operation, and maintenance of power grids.
Since its founding in 2006, RTE international’s experts, leveraging over 70 years of experience and know-how from RTE, have successfully delivered over 1,500 projects across more than 165 countries on every continent. The RTE international group employs 80 staff members and works with nearly a hundred experts annually.

RTE international Inc. (United States)
RTE international Inc. is the U.S. subsidiary of RTE international, created to support HVDC initiatives throughout the country. Drawing on its success in managing complex projects across Europe, RTE international Inc. offers advanced expertise in design assessment, offshore grid interconnections, comprehensive EMT studies, and robust engineering capabilities. This strategic expansion aims to address the current and future demands of the U.S. power infrastructure market, providing innovative and reliable technical solutions specifically tailored to the market’s unique challenges.
RTEi Nordics AB (Sweden)
RTEi Nordic AB is the Scandinavian branch of RTE international, opened in December 2024. It streghthens RTE international’s role in one of the world’s most advanced energy market. The subsidiary focuses on customized solutions for managing renewable energy, power systems, and infrastructure digitalization, all tailored to the Nordic region.
RTEi Australia Pacific (Australia)
RTEi Australia Pacific, founded in January 2025, is RTE International’s Australian branch. With over a decade of experience in the region —through initial partnerships with Powerlink and EDF Australia— the subsidiary consolidates our key role to play in the country’s energy transition and grid modernization. Our Australian branch specializes in engineering, HVDC technology, maintenance, and live work.
Redstork Solutions (Serbia)
Redstork Solutions is the Serbian subsidiary of RTE international, dedicated to driving digital innovation for electricity system stakeholders in Southeastern Europe. Redstork Solutions provides transmission system operators and regional coordinators with advanced tools to enhance coordination and adapt their networks to the challenges posed by the energy transition.
MAI Group (Spain)
Since February 2025, the Spanish group MAI (Mercados Aries International) has been part of RTE International. With 25 years of experience in engineering and energy consulting, MAI has led projects worldwide, helping design reliable, renewable-based power systems suited to different environments. This merger strengthens RTE International’s presence in key regions such as the Middle East, Central Asia, and Sub-Saharan Africa.
