As the energy landscape continues to evolve, mastering energy market modeling is more crucial than ever. RTE international is pleased to announce the Antares Simulator Advanced Training, a specialized program designed to equip energy professionals with the skills and hands-on experience needed to leverage Antares Simulator for energy market analysis, power system optimization, and adequacy studies.
Antares Simulator is a leading open-source tool used by transmission system operators, researchers, and energy professionals worldwide to simulate adequacy and economy studies, optimize grid operations, analyze energy markets, and assess investment strategies, whether you are working on grid expansion planning, energy market simulations, or energy mix forecasting.
Participants will use Antares Web, an intuitive web-based interface that enhances accessibility and efficiency in energy modeling. The training includes real-world case studies, allowing attendees to explore how different energy mix scenarios impact energy markets and power system investment decisions.

About the Antares Simulator trainers
Alexandre Perin
Alexandre joined RTE International as a power system expert. He is responsible for various economic and technical studies or consultancy services, such as: long-term power system planning, electricity market modelling, cost-benefit analysis, network studies, renewable energy integration, reserve calculations, adequacy studies or energy storage system sizing. He has been involved in project in Asia, Pacific and mostly in Europe, which provde him a good knowledge of the European framework regarding European studies (ERAA/TYNDP). He is also working on regional cooperation and power system operation.
Nikola Ilic
Power System Engineer, graduated from Faculty of Thenical Science, University of Novi Sad, Serbia. Nikola is currently employed by RTEi South-East Europe (RTEi SEE), Belgrade, Serbia, as a Power System Software Developer, working mainly on the development of the Open-Source software Antares-Simulator and he is also invloved in Antares related projects and topics, like PEMMDB Converter, Antares Web Application. Nikola is in charge of the development of ENTSO-E’s short-term adequacy tool.
Milos Andjelkovic
Milos joined RTEi South-East Europe (RTEi SEE) in 2022. A power system engineer turned software developer, he is currently Deputy Director of RTEi SEE. His work focuses on the Antares ecosystem, including contributions to Antares Simulator development, STA (Short-Term Adequacy) features, and Antares-related tooling such as the PEMMDB, Antares converter (also known as the Antares Model Builder).
