This rebranding also marks a new step in the Group\u2019s expansion in South-East Europe, a key region in Europe\u2019s energy transition.<\/strong><\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #003366;\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p><h2><span style=\"color: #003366;\">A tough energy transition challenge in the Balkans<\/span><\/h2><p><span style=\"color: #003366;\">The Western Balkans (including Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, and Serbia) remain heavily reliant on coal-fired power plants and imported gas. These countries have nonetheless <strong>committed to achieving carbon neutrality by 2050.<\/strong><\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Present in Serbia since 2021, RTE international benefits from a strategic base at the crossroads of Central and Eastern Europe. As a true regional hub, our Serbian subsidiary serves as <strong>a central platform for supporting energy projects across the Balkans.<\/strong><\/span><\/p><h2><span style=\"color: #003366;\">A new positioning to support a regional energy ambition<\/span><\/h2><p><span style=\"color: #003366;\">With RTEi SEE, RTE international consolidates its brand identity across regions. The rebranding aims to provide greater clarity regarding both the company\u2019s affiliation with the Group and the service portfolio. It also reflects <strong>a strategic ambition to strengthen its presence among local energy stakeholders.<\/strong><\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Specialising in <a style=\"color: #003366;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.rte-international.com\/en\/digital-solutions\/\">digital solutions<\/a> for energy system challenges (including CGMES modelling, <a style=\"color: #003366;\" href=\"https:\/\/antares-simulator.org\/\">Antares<\/a> simulations, and RCC services) the Serbian subsidiary has long <strong>promoted open-source technologies in power systems<\/strong>. RTE international considers open-source solutions as a strategic lever for accelerating the energy transition, enabling smarter, more resilient and transparent grids.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #003366;\">While continuing this legacy, RTEi SEE is now expanding its activities to encompass the Group\u2019s full range of expertise, including:<\/span><\/p><ul><li><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Network planning, <\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Engineering studies, <\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Power electronics, <\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Infrastructure operation and maintenance,<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"color: #003366;\"><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Training.<\/span><\/span><\/li><\/ul><h2><span style=\"color: #003366;\">A key player in major energy projects in the Balkans<\/span><\/h2><p><span style=\"color: #003366;\">RTE international is already actively involved in several strategic energy initiatives across the region. The project will help identify the investments required in generation capacity, transmission infrastructure, and flexibility solutions to offset the planned closure of thermal power plants, while also accounting for economic and environmental considerations.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #003366;\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #003366;\"><strong>With RTEi SEE, RTE international reaffirms its commitment to supporting South-East Europe\u2019s power systems on their path to a decarbonised future.
