Maintenance of the electricity network
Maintenance of the electricity network
The maintenance of substations and power lines is essential to the smooth operation of the transmission network. Whether for conventional, live or helicopter work, RTE international offers reliable training, services and tools to ensure the safe operation of medium- and high-voltage substations and lines.Support for the maintenance function
Audits and implementation of a maintenance policy for electricity transmission networks
RTE International provides personalized support to its customers in the organization and training of substation and line maintenance. We offer audits and customized support to implement European best practices, thus defining a roadmap for the development of your activities.
Organization of maintenance by reliability
France was among the first to adopt this method of managing network assets from aeronautics and nuclear power. RTE International can help other network operators to implement it.
Asset Management
- Diagnosis of all types of equipment by our specialists
- Implementation of maintenance optimisation and asset management tools
- Evolution of the organization of maintenance of electricity transmission networks
Live working
Full support in setting up LW teams
We have developed an internationally recognised "French method", adapted to the specific context of each worksite. It offers greater flexibility than methods based on operating procedures and has proven its effectiveness in terms of safety: no fatal accident in 50 years of LW practice in France.
Equipment and machinery for LW Substations and Lines
We offer a range of equipment for low-, medium- and high-voltage work on substations and power lines, including LW tools, lifting platforms, insulated scaffolding and connection/disconnection solutions. These tools, designed for the French LW method, exceed international standards to ensure the safety of operators. Our tool qualification processes guarantee LW deployment to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Turnkey service
Provision of operational teams
We provide you with operational teams to carry out maintenance work on the electricity transmission network, using our own equipment (helicopters, drones, IR/UV cameras, etc.).
Airborne service
RTE's helicopter expertise means: 60 years of experience, 300,000 flying hours in total, 7,000 hours a year, 6 aeronautical bases and 16 aircraft.
Linear inspection
RTE examines all of its 105,000 kilometers of line each year. RTE international can offer you a turnkey service or technical support for any inspection needs of your structures (visual inspection, photos, infrared, ultraviolet, LIDAR).
Helicopter Work
In certain configurations, helicopter-borne work by RTE offers the best compromise between reliability, safety, and performance. We adapt our services to meet our customers' needs by offering a range of techniques:
- Construction or replacement of pylons
- Cable unwinding
- Lifting
Support for the use of drones
Drones are opening up new opportunities for the maintenance of electricity transmission networks. Since 2012, RTE has been using this technology and has rolled it out across all its maintenance centers. RTE international can provide comprehensive support to electricity network operators in deploying drones, from studying requirements to pilot training in an electrical environment.
Delegated Management
We provide our technical, financial, and professional resources to ensure the expected performance of public service under an electricity transmission network management contract. We apply our expertise and skills to effectively meet collective needs.
