RTE International and EMS (Elektromreža Srbije) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding under the patronage of Serbian and French Heads of State in order to develop power transmission projects together in the Balkans region.

RTE International was part of the business delegation accompanying the French President Emmanuel Macron to Serbia on July 15th, 2019, to strengthen the economic ties between the two countries. On this occasion, RTE International and EMS, the Serbian transmission system operator, signed a Memorandum of Understanding aiming at examining potential collaboration in the form of a joint venture for the provision of services across the Balkans region.

This new synergy will offer both companies new opportunities to execute projects together in the field of energy transition, which will ultimately position both RTE International and EMS as leading companies in Energy transition in the Western Balkans area.
