Since 2006, RTE International has successfully carried out over 100 projects in more than 30 countries, with the support of 250 professionals within our network of experts.


Hosting delegations

Since 2001, RTE and RTE International have hosted:

  • 350 foreign delegations,

  • Over 2,500 visitors from more than 60 countries.


International organisations

RTE’s international experts actively participate in leading and coordinating professional associations in the field, such as:


ENTSO-E (European Network of Transmission System Operators for Electricity), via its four Working Committees (System Development, Market Research Development & Innovation and System Operations) and the RGCE.


CIGRE (International Council on Large Electric Systems) via its different branches (Study Committees, Technical Council, Working Groups and Advisory Groups).


VLPGO (Very Large Power Grid Operators): TSOs or ISOs with more than 50 GW of connected power, such as the following:

ELIA (Germany/Belgium), ONS (Brazil), KEPCO (South Korea), PJM and MISO (USA), REE (Spain), RTE (France), Terna (Italy), TEPCO (Japan), SO for UPS (Russia), National Grid (UK).


RTE International is a subsidiary of RTE, the French electricity grid operator. Founded in 2006, RTE International develops consultancy work and uses its expertise to provide services for clients abroad.
